Ripe cherries and spicy/smoked toasty oak aromas with mocha and
white pepper undertones on the nose. The palate is crammed
with sweet cherries and pepper flavours, supported by supple
tannins which give the wine great length and freshness. A
very good value shiraz from the Margaret River.

Campbell
MattinsonJune 17, 2008. This is a decent quaffer. It's a
medium-weight mix of plum and cherry flavours with grainy, earthy,
ferrous notes giving it a slightly harder, funkier edge. There's
nice acidity and decent tannin, the aftertaste moderately bitter.
It might sound like I'm emphasising the less pleasant aspects -
it's just the way the wine comes across. It's a decent drink, to be
consumed young. Drink: 2008-2010. 87 points.
